Cookie Policy

Last updated: March 05, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how poppiispace ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit our website at www.poppii.space or use our mobile application. It explains what these technologies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control our use of them.

In some cases we may use cookies to collect personal information, or information that becomes personal information if we combine it with other information. In such cases our Privacy Policy will apply in addition to this Cookie Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.

Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, poppiispace) are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third-party cookies." Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (e.g. advertising, interactive content, and analytics). The parties that set these third-party cookies can recognise your computer both when it visits the website in question and also when it visits certain other websites.

We also use "similar technologies" such as pixel tags, web beacons, clear GIFs, and JavaScript that function like cookies to collect information and help us understand how you use our Services.

2. Why do we use cookies?

We use first-party and third-party cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our Services to operate — we refer to these as "essential" or "strictly necessary" cookies. Other cookies also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance their experience. Third parties serve cookies through our Services for analytics and other purposes.

The specific types of cookies served through our Services and the purposes they perform are described below.

3. What types of cookies do we use?

Targeting & Advertising Cookies

We do not currently use advertising or targeting cookies, and we do not sell your personal data to advertisers. If this changes, we will update this policy and request your consent.

4. What about other tracking technologies?

Cookies are not the only way to recognise or track visitors to a website. We may use other, similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons (sometimes called "tracking pixels" or "clear gifs"). These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognise when someone has visited our Services or opened an email we have sent them.

This allows us, for example, to monitor the traffic patterns of users from one page within the Services to another, to deliver or communicate with cookies, to understand whether you have come to the Services from an online advertisement displayed on a third-party website, and to improve site performance. In many instances, these technologies are reliant on cookies to function properly, and so declining cookies will impair their functioning.

5. Stripe Connect and payment processing

We use Stripe Connect to process payments between bookers and venue hosts on our platform. When you initiate or complete a payment, Stripe may set cookies or use similar technologies to:

  • ·Verify your identity and prevent fraudulent transactions
  • ·Remember your payment preferences for faster checkout
  • ·Comply with financial regulations (KYC/AML requirements)
  • ·Process payouts to venue hosts through Stripe Connect

Stripe operates as a separate data controller for the data it collects during payment processing. You can review Stripe's own cookie practices at stripe.com/cookie-settings and their Privacy Policy at stripe.com/privacy.

7. How can you control cookies?

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies (other than strictly necessary cookies). You can exercise your cookie rights by setting your preferences when you first visit our Services via our cookie consent banner.

Browser controls

You can set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies. If you choose to reject cookies, you may still use our Services though your access to some functionality and areas may be restricted. As the means by which you can refuse cookies through your web browser controls vary from browser to browser, you should visit your browser's help menu for more information.

Mobile device controls

On mobile devices, you can manage your advertising preferences through your device settings. On iOS, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, go to Settings → Privacy → Ads. You can also reset your device's advertising identifier at any time.

Do Not Track

Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" ("DNT") feature that signals to websites that you do not want to have your online activity tracked. Because there is currently no industry-wide standard for recognising DNT signals, we do not currently respond to DNT signals. For more detail, please see section 11 of our Privacy Policy.

8. Cookie use under GDPR and Swedish law

Under the EU ePrivacy Directive (as implemented in Swedish law via the Electronic Communications Act, LEK) and the GDPR, we are required to obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies on your device. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent as they are essential for the service you have requested.

When you first visit our Services, we will ask you to accept or decline non-essential cookies via our consent banner. You may change your preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of our website.

If you are based in the EU or UK and have concerns about how we use cookies, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) at imy.se or the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

9. Updates to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Please therefore re-visit this Cookie Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies. The "last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when this Cookie Policy was last revised.

10. How can you contact us?
